TRACK 2: Business & Management: Organizational Innovation, Resilience Building and Sustainable Governance

TRACK INTRODUCTION

This track explores contemporary issues in business and management, with a particular focus on organizational innovation, resilience, sustainability, and effective governance in a rapidly changing global environment. It provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to examine how organizations can navigate digital transformation, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthen resilience and risk management, and develop sustainable strategies and responsible business practices. The track also welcomes research on strategic decision-making, multinational business management, leadership, and team management in evolving work environments, including remote and hybrid workplaces.

Track Chairs

Prof. Hjh. Yusliza Mohd Yusoff, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia

Bio: Professor Dr. Yusliza binti Mohd Yusoff is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of business and management, widely recognized for her pioneering work in sustainable human resource management (HRM). Her research has significantly advanced understanding in areas such as green HRM and employee green behavior. More recently, her scholarly pursuits have expanded into emerging domains including artificial intelligence in HRM, blockchain applications, and the integration of HRM within the circular economy.
With over 140 scholarly articles published in prestigious Scopus-indexed journals, Professor Dr. Yusliza has made a profound impact on the academic community. Her work has garnered more than 6,000 citations on Scopus, affirming her status as a thought leader in HRM, organizational behavior, and sustainable management practices.

Professor Dr. Yusliza’s contributions have been widely recognized. In 2022, she received the Icon Academia Award from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Academic Leadership Award from UMT, honoring her leadership in teaching, research, and international collaboration.

By 2026, she is celebrated as one of Malaysia’s foremost scholars in business and management. Her groundbreaking research earned her a place on Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2% scientists for five consecutive years (2022–2026), a testament to her global academic influence.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zikri Muhammad, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia

Bio: Associate Professor Dr Zikri bin Muhammad is an accomplished academic, researcher and policy scholar at the Department of Policy Study, Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Development, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Malaysia. His academic expertise lies at the intersection of sustainable development, green practices, industrial and urban regional planning, and environmental sustainability management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master of Arts in Industrial and Regional Development Planning from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a PhD in Urban Geography from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His multidisciplinary research spans green human resource management, green intellectual capital, employee ecological behaviour, sustainable organisational performance, environmental governance, local government service delivery, sustainable urban and community development, coastal communities, and sustainable tourism.

Dr Zikri has demonstrated strong academic leadership through his appointments as Head of Policy Study and Deputy Dean (Research and Talent) at UMT, while also contributing as Principal Investigator and co-researcher in national, international, university and industry-funded research projects. His scholarly contributions are reflected in publications indexed by Web of Science and Scopus, with a growing international research profile and collaborations across multidisciplinary fields. He has also delivered keynote and invited presentations on sustainable community development, coastal resource management, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental sustainability and green practices. Beyond research and publication, he is actively engaged in postgraduate supervision, academic leadership, international collaboration and knowledge transfer, with a strong commitment to translating research into meaningful policy, organisational and community-level impact. His work reflects a continuing commitment to advancing evidence-based approaches to sustainability and fostering resilient, inclusive and environmentally responsible communities and organisations.
